Grinding at Highs — Patience Required
by Tony Rago
It’s been a slow-grind kind of tape, and those are never the easiest — especially sitting at all-time highs. ES continues to do the heavy lifting while NQ lags a bit, but the roadmap is clear: holding defended pullbacks keeps the door open for a push toward 26,000. Every dip has been met with buyers so far, and that tells you the underlying tone remains constructive. The caveat is that upside momentum hasn’t accelerated yet — we’re moving higher, but without urgency.
That makes today more about context and patience. The market may be in wait-and-see mode with key data on deck, and JOLTS at 10am is the first potential catalyst to shake things loose. Overall, the bias stays bullish, but this is also the type of environment where a single headline can change the tempo quickly. Aggressive buyers haven’t fully shown their hand yet, so I’ll be focused on the open and how price reacts early before leaning in. Let the market show its intent first. 💪
