Range Pressure Building — Expansion on Deck
by Tony Rago
We’re still stuck in a range with NQ doing its best to lift ES, but the real test comes down to one thing: ES needs to close back above its weekly open on the daily. We’ve been consolidating here for three straight sessions — that kind of compression almost always leads to expansion, and the weekly open becomes the hinge. If buyers can’t convert it into support, a cleaner pullback begins to open up, especially below 6,800 on ES and 25,412 on NQ. Those are the spots where sellers can finally press into structure instead of just reacting.
This is one of those days where you stay light on your feet and let price tell the story. Momentum can break either way from a multi-day coil, and the edge comes from being prepared — not predicting. If we crack under those triggers, the pullback has room to develop; if buyers step up, we could finally get a proper push out of the range. Stay sharp, stay flexible, and trade what shows up. 💪
