“I am vehemently opposed to share buybacks,” TheoTrade co-founder Don Kaufman told NTD News. Twitter recently announced that it will repurchase, or buyback, $4 billion of its shares. For companies like Twitter buybacks usually benefit the executives and the Board, said Kaufman.
Often, companies incur debt for a share buyback. “Are we going to constantly refinance that debt when inflation hits, like we’re seeing now?” asked Kaufman.
