OPEC Meeting April 2016
With an unscheduled OPEC meeting in April 2016 let's take a look at what the stock market expects to come out of the meeting. Although implied volatility is low in the SPX there still seems to be a lot of concern in the financial sector. Many financials lowered there expectations and now their earnings are beating those lowered expectations. Bonds remain high despite the stock market rally. Lower interest rates are hurting financials. You can see that in the earnings results with lowered revenue and income for many financial stocks. We will get a jump on the week Sunday night when we will be able to see reaction to the OPEC Meeting in the Futures market.
