A very quiet sideways day with the FOMC minutes barely even to get any life out of the market. That sucking sound you hear is the volatility being sucked out of the market. Not only is volatility near all time lows, but this one of the longest stretches of volatility this low that we have ever seen. February 22, 2017One still collects theta decay in low IV. As shown, high IV is quick to come and go.
I still can't believe all the 'sky will be falling soon' contrarians out there wishing for a correction. All short option sellers want that....why do you have to be long anything right now? Take a break.
If one was bearish,and purchased in and out put spreads, you lost money. You're constantly fighting against time decay and direction.
