Earnings at the Wheel
by Tony Rago
META, MSFT, and TSLA all reported at the bell, and now it’s on the regular session to show its hand. Post-earnings reactions can bring fast rotations early, so a whippy open wouldn’t be a surprise as positioning gets sorted. AAPL is still on deck at the bell and has been on a tear — definitely one to keep on the radar as its weight can influence broader index tone, especially if momentum traders stay active into the close.
For today, bulls need to hold the line above 7,000 on ES and 26,000 on NQ to keep the structure intact. We’ve already seen big wicks off 6,977 and 26k, which tells us sell-side liquidity (stops) is stacked just beneath those lows. If buyers can defend those areas and step in with intent, the path higher stays open. If not, those stops become targets. Let’s see how we open, read the reaction, and trade what’s in front of us — not what we hope for. 💪
