Holding the Line Into Friday
by Tony Rago

Nice breakout above the weekly open sent ES up through 6,926, leaving that 6,933 tag unfinished — and the market rarely forgets unfinished business. We opened last night with a small gap down, putting the gap fill at 6,925, and bulls will want to defend a pullback into the weekly open at 6,883 if they’re serious about pressing higher. NQ broke out as well but slipped right back into the broader zone we’ve been battling all week, with its own gap fill sitting at 25,788. That area has acted like gravity, so holding bids there becomes the first real test for continuation.

From here it’s about conviction. Bulls need to step up, break out of their opening ranges, and finally take down the overhead levels that’ve been dangling just out of reach. Fail to do that and we’re likely settling back into the same wide, choppy range that’s thrown around both sides all week. It’s Friday, which means traders are balancing opportunity with discipline — push when structure confirms, protect capital when it doesn’t. Let’s see if buyers can close the week on a strong note. 💪
